Hi Aaron,
Nice video. Could you ask them more questions about how to grow a school? I am wondering how to
advertise, get more students, and the like.
Thanks! I subscribed, so please send me an email the next time you make a video.

Hello Christine,
Thank you for your comment.
I did ask Sean some of those questions, I think… I’ll be uploading the rest of the interview later, I don’t remember what I asked! This was a while back :). I’ll be interviewing more owners in the future, so feel free to tell me what to ask.
And thanks for entering your email to subscribe. You’ll get an email automatically when I upload the next video, so don’t worry.
Cheers 24/7,
Aaron

Hi Aaron - and Christine - just thought I’d write a few words and address the question of how to grow a school, a very good question.
I think there is no one answer, of course. It depends on your market, the type of teaching you do, the area you are in… I do not have a lot to offer here - I think everyone struggles with this one. However.
Some general tips (nothing too earth-shattering here):
-Be the best teacher you can. Use your current satisfied students to recruit your next students.
-Be visible, be out there and be approachable. Be a part of the neighborhood. Look professional, take your school and your job seriously.
-Address student needs, teach people not just students/levels/numbers.
-Adapt your battle plan. Find something that works and run with it. Re-think things when they aren’t working (inevitable).
-Don’t get down. Being self-employed means peaks and valleys. The peaks hopefully are worth the valleys!
-Be true to your vision of what you want your school to be.
-Listen to others. Join ETJ Owners group and get in the forum there.
Good luck!

I just want to say hi to everyone. I am the manager of a small school in Utsunomiya and I will take it over soon. I am always learning so I am looking forward to receiving valuable help to help me run it — and also offering help whenever I can.
